Twitter has announced a number of new target options to allow localisation when promoting products – adding further potential to the already rich Twitter Marketing options, according to ClickZ.com.
Amongst the options, advertisers will now be able to choose a specific country that their Promoted Accounts and Promoted Tweets are displayed in.
A spokesman for Twitter commented on the launch stating: “We continuously launch features to enhance the advertising experience on Twitter.
“As with all of our advertising efforts, we are watching this test closely and will use feedback from advertisers and Twitter users to fine-tune and iterate on the feature,” the spokesman continued.
Targeting has become a popular area for companies when utilising Twitter Marketing, especially for foreign brands – allowing them to target specific customer bases on a global scale.
It is thought that Twitter’s Promoted Products is seeking to make the micro-blogging site more accessible for smaller companies to advertise from.
