According to sellcar-uk.com, motoring giant Mazda has become the latest company to utilise Facebook marketing.
This comes after the company officially announced an affiliation with Facebook Deals – a program that allows users to find money saving deals on their mobile phones via the Facebook Places application.
Mazda will offer a 20 per cent discount on certain models, while giving away five Mazda MX-5 Miyakos, every month for a five month stint. To be able to apply for either of these offers, a customer must “check-in” at one of Mazda’s five nominated forecourts.
Speaking to Marketing Magazine, Marketing director of Mazda UK, Claire Andrews said: “Social media has always been about communicating to as wide a range of people as you want, but until now has not given any commercial benefits to consumers.
“Facebook Deals recognises the consumer’s appetite for a deal and brings a real financial benefit to social media use,” she continued.
