Honda are the next big company to realise the potential of Facebook marketing, as the company begins to promote its local talent through its Facebook page.
The company wishes to raise public awareness of the companies skilled workers, in particular at its Swindon plant where 80% of all Honda cars bought in the UK are manufactured.
The new Facebook activity will highlight the great achievements that their workers in the Swindon plant achieve every year.
The company is also introducing a competition to give other innovative people a chance to walk away with a quarterly development award which could be worth up to £1,000 to the winner.
The communications manager for Honda in the UK, Steve Kirk said “We employ over 3,000 incredibly skilled engineers at the Honda plant in Swindon, and every year they build 140,000 of the most innovative and reliable cars around”.
He continued by stating that “This campaign is about celebrating their expertise”.
It is hoped that the campaign will shine a spotlight on the efforts by workers at the Swindon plant and, by using such a popular platform as Facebook, increase interest in the Honda brand in the UK.
