Facebook expand mobile applications

Facebook have announced the improved mobile experience through their new app available to over 2,500 devices across the globe.

The new app is designed to improve the Facebook experience allowing faster navigation and a simpler interface through the app.

As reported by Facebook’s official blog, the idea of the new app is to make it more widely available to as many people as possible.

Stated on a recent blog on the site the new app will be compatible with devices from “Nokia, Sony Ericsson, LG and other manufacturers”.

They continue by stating the new features including “an easier-to-navigate home screen, contact synchronization, and fast scrolling of photos and friend updates”.

The app could revolutionise the current mobile access and allow a more diversified interface offering more via the mobile version of the website and offering new opportunities for Facebook marketing.

This could see better quality opportunities for businesses to connect with their potential Facebook marketing via better quality adverts which are more easily accessible and visible.

Facebook marketing groups or pages set up by companies could also see the content that is regularly updated viewed on mobile devices a lot quicker via this new app.

Alongside the new app comes the added news that free data access is to be implemented across a selection of countries across the world for the first 90 days after the apps launch.
