Debenhams is one of the first companies in the UK to embrace the new Facebook marketing strategy, Facebook Deals, according to centredaily.com.
Users will be able to access special offers, rewards and discounts from big name brands by using Facebook Deals.
Brands which have already signed up to the scheme include; Starbucks, Argos, Alton Towers Resort, Benetton, O2, and YO! Sushi.
Joanna Shields, VP EMEA, Facebook, said: “We all love a bargain so whether you’re on the lookout for a special offer at your favourite restaurant or tips from a fashionista friend about a discount on shoes or beauty offers in a department store, Facebook Deals will help you find it.”
To celebrate Debenhams collaboration with Facebook, the department store is giving away over 1,000 free mascaras and makeovers at branches on February 14th.
To take advantage of this offer, customers will need to log on to Facebook on their mobile phone. The consumer will then be shown a list of businesses offering deals. Once a deal been chosen, users must show their phone to the shop assistant to redeem the offer.
