Ben & Jerry’s to name new flavour using Twitter marketing campaign

Ice-cream maker Ben & Jerry’s has become the latest high-profile company to use to Twitter marketing, according to Asian technology site, penn-olson.com.

Their latest campaign, entitled Milk Us a Flavour Name, is aimed at Singaporeans in an attempt to crowdsource a title for the newly launched ice cream – described by the company as ‘a euphoric blend of vanilla ice cream packed with generous slabs of chocolate-coated toffee crunch.’

In a bid to entice further participation, the ice cream manufacturer has even offered the first 500 people to tweet a suggestion (using the hashtag, #Benjerryflavor) a free scoop of this latest flavour.

The winner will receive a $300 Ben & Jerry’s hamper and immortalisation in the ‘legendary haystacks of fame.’

Renowned for social media marketing campaigns in Singapore, Ben & Jerry’s most recent Facebook marketing campaign saw cow mascots sent into various offices to distribute scoops of ice cream to workers.
