In a bid to increase their social media presence, car rental company Avis has announced the launch of a new Facebook marketing campaign, according to an article published by Marketing Week.
Entitled ‘Avis ArtCar’, the campaign – specifically targeted at the European market – is aimed at getting fans of the company’s Facebook page to design an art car.
Designs can then subsequently be uploaded to the Avis Facebook page, where fans will be able to vote for their favourites.
Those with the most votes when the campaign closes on November 14 will be applied to three cars – which will then be available for free rental in the participating countries.
The campaign will mark the start of Avis’ focus on increasing their use of social media.
Director of ecommerce at Avis EMEA, Xavier Vallee, spoke about the campaign.
He said: “This is Avis’ first pan-European social media campaign, which will be instrumental in broadening interaction with the Avis brand.”
